At three different elementary school, I volunteered to work with children who were not learning at the required grade level. I tutored children from first to fourth grade develop their reading, math, science, and history skills. Some of my specific tasks in reading were teaching the alphabet, teaching the sounds of each letter, reading games, helping them under main ideas, plot, characters, and summaries. In Math, I have taught adding, subtracting, and fractions using various aids such as blocks and pictures. In science, I have taught potential and kinetic energy along with some basics like seasons. In history, I have taught Texas history lessons.

I have had one paid tutor position with the Austin Project. My duties were basically that which I had while volunteering. It was a temporary position due to budget constraints. I worked with them from January 2010 to May 2010.
