I am currently an elementary school teacher. I have also tutored for several companies Homebound, Club-Z (Saturday Program), and private tutoring at different age levels. I'm currently in my second year of graduate school to become a reading specialist. The practical experience gathered from teaching in a diverse environment has helped me gain necessary skills to develop and deliver quality instruction in all core academic areas. This experience has also allowed me opportunities to individualize skills to meet student's needs. I have also used differentiated instructional strategies and positive reinforcements to allow students greater opportunities for academic success. I have taken a variety of courses and participated in a number of staff development in-services which have prepared me to meet diverse student needs . I decided to become an elementary teacher because I enjoy hard work and helping others find success. I believe that my experience, proven record of academic success, uniqueness of background and passion for teaching all demonstrate my willingness to contribute to the success of each student.
