English literature and Language Arts has always been my best and most favorite subject. I have experience both with children in a home environment as a child care provider, as well as in a preschool setting as I am currently employed as an Assistant Teacher in a preschool. I also have worked with large groups of teens in a High School setting which included preparing them for college with the application process, and tutoring them in various subjects such as language arts and history.

I still presently assist fellow students that require help in areas of grammar and creating a well-written essay for various subjects. When it comes to studying and tutoring, I find that the best way to do so is to figure out how the student learns in the most productive way; whether it's visually, hands-on or practice, practice, practice, we will figure out the proper solution.

I graduated high school with the Scholar Academic Award in Journalism, and won Best Overall Achievement in English as well. I've had the success of making Dean's List my Spring 2011 semester at Stony Brook University as well as interning as a Peer Educator, and I've had the opportunity of writing articles for various publications on campus. I've taken an extensive amount of English classes, the majority advanced writing and upper level classes. I am currently working towards my Master's Degree in Adolescence Education with a Middle Childhood Extension at a College, and will begin my part-time student teaching in Sept, 2013.
