Your needs and learning style are my main focus. As a state certified teacher, I am highly qualified to tutor in many subjects. My experience lies in the language arts, especially writing, speaking, and interpersonal communications. I am, however, capable of tutoring in any elementary subject, most high-school subjects, and in college-level business, writing, and communications, as I am also a certified post-secondary instructor.

I have nine years of teaching experience at the junior high, high school, and college levels. Prior to that, I worked seven years as substitute teacher, during which time I taught just about every subject from first through twelfth grades.

My teaching philosophy is to help students learn. In order to accomplish this, my focus is always on the individual. It is important to establish a rapport with my student, and to build confidence in his or her ability to learn. When a belief in personal success exists, higher grades and test scores naturally follow.
