I am a certified teacher teaching at an elementary school in Dale City.
Teaching is my passion and I believe that by teaching I can instill firm educational values in children and help develop within them a desire to learn and grow, which will lead to academic pride and success. Guided by experiences in my life and lessons I've learned through teaching, I've come to understand that all children learn differently and that as a teacher, I need to always be prepared to help a student...
Teaching is my passion and I believe that by teaching I can instill firm educational values in children and help develop within them a desire to learn and grow, which will lead to academic pride and success. Guided by experiences in my life and lessons I've learned through teaching, I've come to understand that all children learn differently and that as a teacher, I need to always be prepared to help a student be successful in my classroom based on their learning style more than my own teaching methods. It's that quality -- my caring nature -- that tops a long list of fine characteristics that I believe would be an asset to any educational institution. I've taught for three years at Public School 94 in the Bronx, NY and two years in Woodbridge, VA. Working as a New York City public school teacher has allowed me to acquire valuable skills and experience needed to build a solid foundation for my teaching career. Part of that experience has been working with students, parents/guardians, and co-workers from diverse backgrounds. It has enriched and heightened my cultural sensitivity and understanding and has enabled me to meet the needs of a rich and diverse population.
