I graduated last May from Saint Anselm College with a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry. Based on faculty recommendation and academic achievement, I was selected to become a peer tutor while in college. I effectively motivated students to reach their academic goals. I tutored peers in General Biology, General Chemistry, and Organic Chemistry. In addition to this, I held open review sessions for final exams. This past year I have been working at Straight "A" Academy in Bedford, NH. I tutor elementary through high school students in various subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Biology, Chemistry, Language Arts, and Social Studies. As a part of Straight "A" Academy I also worked one day a week for six weeks at Granite State Independent Living tutoring at-risk high school students in writing and grammar. These positions required ability to communicate effectively to students with diverse learning abilities. I also modeled and taught organizational skills to promote good study habits.
