I have had the privilege of working with two different, amazing families. The first family I babysat for had 3 girls, ages 3, 7, and 11. The 11-year-old had been clinically diagnosed with autism. For the second family, I was a nanny for a 7-year-old boy. He was mentally handicapped and the closest clinical diagnosis he had was related to Dravet Syndrome. With both of these families, I administered medications, helped the kids with dinner, bath and bed time, and played and worked on the activities of daily living.
