During my experience of a year and a half nurturing individuals with special needs, developmental, intellectual, cognitive, and mental disabilities, I have developed such a profound passion for human services and medicine. At that point, I knew exactly how I wanted to begin my endeavor in building my future. Currently, I am in college to become a Registered Nurse and also am employed. Working as a direct caregiver/job coach to individuals with disabilities gave me a different outlook on life; it sent me a message; advocate for their individuality, and acknowledge their capabilities. My experience includes meal preparation, hygiene, laundry, transportation, therapeutic exercise, and creating recreational activities/work-based programs. I am MED-certified through the Department of Developmental Services to administer medication, and CPR-certified. I am a current holder of a Public Service License; Endorsement F (Required in some state facilities to transport participants), and I have been trained on topics such as Dysphagia, Aspiration, and Lift/Transfer Procedures, IE: 2-person lift, Stand/Pivot Transfer. I am very adept with hoyer lifts, and manual/power wheelchairs. My passion is providing professional, nurturing, and constant care to any individual who needs help. I am reliable and here to make your family feel comfortable with entrusting your loved ones in my care.
