I am a single mom of 3 adults with disabilities, two with Down Syndrome. At an early age I knew my place in life was to work with kids and adults with disabilities. They are living angels on this Earth and deserve loving and quality care. I have been working with children with disabilities for over 19+ years and love every bit of it. It is my life and my life purpose.

Some of my work experience has been working with children and adults with disabilities as a program assistant for a non-profit organization creating visual learning techniques, teaching sign language, mentoring, helping to coach for Special Olympics, and teaching cooking skills/safety. I also worked with a family that had a son with Autism for over a year who needed help taking their child to and from appointments for specialized care, and was non-verbal.

Due to my own personal experience is raising 2 children with Down Syndrome, I can prepare meals, assisting with activities of daily living, run errands, complete household duties, making appointments, providing transportation, demonstrating patience and understanding, writing and planning IEP's, enforcing behavior management, reading tutor, and committed to helping them maintain the highest possible level of independent living.

I am also familiar with PECS, sign language, and IPad technology for those who may need communication assistance.

Completed Requirements for Serving People with Disabilities Following a Disaster on 3/31/2012 with American Red Cross. I have an Associates Degree in Special Education.
