My love of children came naturally as I had my own. Presently, my children are 16 (son) and 12 (daughter). When my daughter was an infant, I decided to care for other children in my home because I had several friends in need of childcare. This was a wonderful experience for me to care for and love small children like my very own! As a fun-loving, outgoing, and compassionate individual, I enjoyed doing all kinds of activities with the toddlers. It was never boring! I also worked part-time on the childcare staff at my church. This childcare situation continued for 5 years until my family relocated to Florida for my husband's career. About a year later, we were back in Texas when we realized the opportunity was not what we had planned. Upon returning, I took a Paraprofessional position at my children's school which involved helping Special Education students with their school day. Working in that position, I was inspired to get my teaching certificate. I wanted to give teaching a try! Watching children grow socially, emotionally, academically, and physically is a passion of mine. As a teacher, it thrilled me to help students achieve their goals. My experiences would make me an awesome nanny!
