As a highly trained and experienced early childhood caregiver and teacher, I am committed to providing quality care and learning opportunities for children by providing a positive, loving environment in which they can thrive and learn through play. I have worked and volunteered in a variety of settings and roles, from respite care provider to day care director, caring for and teaching children and adults with and without disabilities in home, group home, supported independent living homes, church, day care, and school settings for numerous years. I obtained an associate's degree in Early Childhood Growth and Development in June of 2000. I have been previously certified in First Aid and CPR, and will be renewing my certifications in the near future. In addition to my extensive professional experience, I have gleaned much experience from the many children in my immediate and extended family including my adolescent stepson. I have enjoyed a successful career in the business world and have been with the same company for the past eight years, but I would like to spend more time with my family and am looking to get back to doing what it is I love the most, which is working with children!
