My oldest child and I both have ADHD and my daughter has an added severe auditory processing issue. Two of my three children have had allergic colitis which causes bowel pain. Because of their digestive history, I have experience reading and understanding food labels and protecting allergic children from dangerous foods. My oldest daughter and I have asthma and all of my children have used a nebulizer. One child I currently care for has a history of a stroke and has cerebral palsy and some neurological issues as well as a history of seizures though I have never witnessed one. My best friend's child had a kidney removed at 3 weeks and a stroke and now has cerebral palsy. 10 years ago I worked with a child with mild autism. Six years ago I did in-home care for a toddler with serious developmental delays.
