I am currently finishing up my M. S. in Speech Pathology in Philadelphia and will be returning to California mid May. Due to extremely long license processing times, I will begin working as an SLP no sooner than the Fall of 2013 and will be able to provide a minimum of six weeks' notice.

I am comfortable with children and adults of all ages, and I am particularly interested in working with children with special needs.

My past employers will tell you that I'm cheerful, unflappable and extremely reliable. I put a lot of effort in building good relationships with the children I care for, and the teacher in me loves to plan activities and games that are fun and educational.

As the oldest of six children, I also have extensive childcare, tutoring, and clinical experience. Most recently, I spent the summer as a nanny for two wonderful little girls, ages 3 and 5, one of whom had special needs. I am bilingual (English, Spanish BILC level 2), with a clean California driver's license, CPR certification, TB/flu shots and every background check available and, of course, excellent references.

I am currently available to speak on the phone or Skype. It may seem a little unusual to set up a job long distance, but this is exactly what I did last summer, and it worked out beautifully; I am more than happy to put you in touch with that family.
