When I went to college four years ago I never thought I would want to pursue a full time job with children, let alone children with special needs, but now I cannot think of doing anything else. I graduated college with a degree in computer science. Those classes made me hate going to school, but now I am in the process of getting my Masters Degree in Autism and ABA as well as my MA teaching license in severe disabilities. I love working with children. It makes me so happy and it inspires me. I especially love working with young children with special needs, especially those on the autism spectrum. I find them so incredibly interesting. The way their brains work just amazes me. I currently work in a sub-separate classroom for children with autism, but also have experience with children with severe behavior issues and various learning disabilities.
