I have been involved with special needs children since 1973. I attended an elementary school with a special needs wing and volunteered to work with the students. Our family has been volunteers for the Super Kids Soap Box Derby held annually. Recently, I have been an aide in the multiple disability classroom at our middle school for two years. I have been a special needs school bus driver and school bus aide. I currently care for a 13-year-old young man with Down's Syndrome as needed. I have worked with a wide range of disabilities and behaviors. I am fully background checked, CPR and First Aid Certified. I am also a licensed foster parent so you can be comfortable leaving your child with a mature, loving and dependable adult.
