I have been a certified training technician for special needs at the ARC of ST Clair County, caring for clients in their homes and in the classroom. I have been around special needs throughout my entire life due to family members with physical and mental disabilities. I have been a certified training technician for special needs at the ARC of ST Clair County, caring for clients in their homes and in the classroom. I have worked in a nursing home trying to make residents as comfortable as possible.
I couldn't really tell you why it is a passion for me, but it is. People with special needs just light up my life. I offer patience, understanding and love to all clients, but I must admit, I do believe they bring so much more to me in my life. We can learn so much if we but open our minds and hearts. When applying for a job, I've explained how I can teach and assist in a more independent, helpful and comfortable lifestyle but the truth is, I am the one being taught so much more.
