Hi there,
My name is Melly. I am 27 years old.

Hi there,
My name is Melly. I am 27 years old.
I live with my husband and my son in Green Bay East, next to UWGB.
My husband is a student at UWGB and works also at Fleet Farm, since he left the marines.
I have an education (which I gained in Germany) as an Erzieher, which is a type of childcare, kinda like a preschool teacher here in the US. The education itself took 4 years (2 years of school and 2 years in a preschool) along with a special education, to care for kids and adults with special needs like autism, Down syndrome, etc. I came to the US 3 years ago, to work as an Au Pair for a family with 3 kids in San Diego, California. (I'm fluent in English and understand everything, just in case you should worry about that).
I had an awesome time there. The kids I watched where 2, 3 and 5 years old when I started.
Before I went to San Diego, the Au Pair Agency, that organized the exchange for me brought me to St. Petersburg, Florida where I got trained in CPR and first aid for infants and children!
After moving to Green Bay with my husband and having our first child I started looking for something to do in childcare again, so my son didn't have to be alone with me all day long and I could do the job I love again.
I'm also a member of a playgroup. It's a great chance for the little ones to socialize with other kids their age.
During the summer 2010, I watched 3 girls age 4, 5 and 7 in De Pere. I watched them at their house and brought my son along. It was a great time for all of us.
At the end of 2010, I started watching a now 2-year-old little girl in Allouez. I absolutely loved it, but after the summer break 2011 she went to the Montessori-preschool in DePere. Her parents and I became friends and we still have playdates whenever our time allows it. ;)
During the last summer I started to watch 2 girls, age 3 and 6 ( the older one has autism) in New Franken. I stopped watching them in January, cause I decided that because of changes within their family and the difficulties that come along with it, it would be better for me and my 2-year-old son, to look for something else.
I am looking for a nice family which is easy going, which knows exactly what they want their nanny/babysitter to do and talk about their wishes and what they expect before we start to work together (just that there is no trouble afterwards).
I am looking forward to hear from you.
Thanks,
Melly
