I am a Special Education major at UNC-Charlotte, going into my third year. I always wanted to be a teacher but never knew what age group or even what type of teacher I wanted to be. That was until my senior year in high school when I had the privilege to work with the special need students through the peer tutoring program I was involved in at my high school. I knew right away that I had found something that I loved to do and wanted to do the rest of my life. I met some incredible students and it was an amazing experience. I have grown up around children all my life since my mother has had a home daycare for more than 23 years. I love children and my heart is really working with children with special needs.
