I have a Masters Degree in Learning Disabilities and 14 years of working in Special Education. I am certified in Elementary Education, Learning Disabilities, Academically Gifted and Talented, Emotional Disabilities, Mentally Handicapped. I also have certification from the State of NC in Guidance and Counseling. I have 17 years of experience with tutoring children of all ages (from 4 years old through college). I feel that I am a very patient and encouraging person. I have also worked for over 10 years with a child who has Asperger's Syndrome (high functioning autism). I have ALWAYS been able to help every child that I have worked with both academically and (very importantly) with issues of self esteem and confidence in feeling that they can do it!!!

I enjoy working with children of all ages. I was honored as "Teacher of the Year" from my peers. Thanks for taking the time to read this! I also was a representative for 15 years for an educational publishing company and am very familiar with curriculum (what is taught in every grade level).

Having raised my own two children, and having spent a great deal of time with young children, also feel very confident that I would be an excellent caregiver to a family needing someone to care for their children (newborn through high school for full time care or after school care). I am extremely reliable, experienced, patient and positive with children.
