I have a special needs son who is independent now. So, I have been involved and have worked for a facility in the Houston area approximately over 10 years as an Instructor. We serviced 220 clients. All individuals with developmental disabilities. My job included being a there to help teach independent living skills to our clients, which ranged from cooking classes, p.e classes, driving the clients out into the community and go grocery shopping, went sailing plus a day to day classroom setting where I helped teach ceramic painting and other activities. I loved it and I also became an assistant Special Olympics coach in swimming and equestrian.
