Laura R. - Carrollton Special Needs Caregiver

Profile of Laura R.

Full-Time, 10 + Years of Experience

I have cared for several children and one pre-teen with special needs. This care included caring for twin boys, age 2 1/2, one with emotional and speech problems and the other born with a tumor on his spine which caused severe kidney damage which resulted in his having to be catheterized several times a day as well as given several different medications daily. The pre-teen suffered from Marfans Syndrome and required constant care. I am committed to caring for children with special needs as it gives me a great deal of personal satisfaction knowing that these children need extra special love and attention that not many people are willing to give them.
Related Hobbies and Interests
I am a piano teacher, a gourmet cook and an arts and crafts designer. Music specifically is well known to both soothe and pacify children of all ages.
