I have experience working alongside individuals with disabilities from all ages and walks of life (a large variety of individuals, both minors and adults) as a day program staff member at Stonebelt here in Bloomington. I assisted with teaching art, music, and gym classes, assisted with feeding and monitoring during meals (this included individuals who were on special pureed diets due to swallowing disorders), hygiene routines, employment tasks, monitoring, recording and enforcing behavior plans set forth by client behavior specialists, etc.
I would also fill-in at home settings on occasion, which would require assistance with more domestic tasks such as diet planning, food shopping, other errands, cooking bathing, fun and learning activities/outings, and any other sort of assistance need that would arise.
