Hello, my name is Latisha and I have worked with several people with special needs. I have also been raised with special needs people in my family which gives me a bit more insight into the day to day aspects of the responsibilities and the physical and emotional demands these situations can have on families. My nursing school experience has also helped to train me to deal with many of the physical issues as well as equipment such as ventilator's, feeding tubes and walking devices that often accommodates people with special needs.

My goal as a special needs provider is to always focus on what "can be done" as opposed to any limitations. I also strongly believe in preserving human dignity. When you approach every situation with this philosophy, it not only humbles you but also helps to reinforce the need to approach each situation with compassion.
