My passion for individuals with special needs dates back to being a child. Growing up, one of my best friends and person I spent hours on end with was my uncle, which whom has Down Syndrome. Later, I volunteered at the Special Olympics and participated in various volunteer/charity events for the special needs population. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education in 2007 and a Master of Education in Special Education in 2010. This past school year I obtained a position at a non-public school as a special education teacher/TSS/reading specialist. Throughout the years I have spent time and experience with children of all ability levels and enjoyed every minute, falling in love with these individuals. I have provided home care, tutoring, nannying, and babysitting for many children over the past 8 years. Witnessing the achievements made by these children is enough fulfillment in a day than I could ever explain. The smiles on their faces absolutely melts my heart.
