Since I was in tenth grade I have gone to camps, been a counselor, and just this past summer I went with my university to help students with multiple special needs. I am passionate about this because I used to have a disability and was blessed with surgery for a life changing gift. My cousin has Down syndrome and she is my hero. I am so passionate because knowing I can help and possibly make a change in a child's life is something to wake up for. I helped a 10-year-old girl learn how to ice skate and she was the highlight of my week. I would never change what I do for the world because it is the most blessed field and I enjoy each student. Being around a student with special needs always makes you smile. I am patient and empathetic and everybody should understand that people learn differently; sometimes they just need some time and help. I've wanted to work with special needs students my whole life and it is the only thing that makes me glow. I have background in early childhood, and special education as my undergraduate. My Masters degree is in special education.
