My brother is special needs and so throughout my whole life I have helped care for someone who is disabled. I have had a lot of experience in this type of field. I have worked for two companies being a personal care attendant and I loved every second of it. I am so passionate about this I feel like this is an opportunity for me to make a difference in someone's life. When I see a child smile and I know they are happy, it makes me feel so good that I can make a difference. I worked with a girl who is Autistic and I loved it. I would go to her house everyday and play games with her and just care for her. I have had a lot of experience in this field, I can pretty much do anything you would like me to do. I have changed diapers, helped potty train, bring them to the bathroom, brush their teeth, get them dressed, give them baths/showers, brush their hair, get them ready for bed, feed them, give them any medicine, and I have worked with a g-tube before as well. My brother is my hero and he showed me that anyone can make a difference and that the little things matter the most. Just by smiling at them lets them know that you are there for them and that you care. Just a simple smile is all you have to do. I love special needs children, they are people who I want to be around for the rest of my life. My brother is non-verbal but yet I know I still make a difference in his life. This is my life and I would never change it.
