In high school I worked with the special needs program and that is where my love started. I worked with students of all different disabilities and with these students we did simple things like playing bingo to putting on a musical for the whole school. It was the most amazing time of my life to see these students grow. My next adventure started 2 years later when I started to work at the Phoenix Center. I first started working with high functioning students and that was a nice easy start but now I work with one student who has multiple disabilities and is constantly keeping me on my toes and I love it! I love watching this boy grow and learn with each day and even though he leaves me with many bruises and scratches he will always hold a special place in my heart, as well as all my other students!
