I have worked with a special needs company for a little over a year and a half. Currently I work in a group home and take care of 4 developmentally disabled boys, age from 15-23; they all have different disabilities. I take care of all emotional needs, we play, we read, we cook together, all different kinds of things to stimulate them. I also take care of all domestic duties. I am VERY passionate about what I do; not a lot of people have the patience and I believe it takes a certain kind of person to work with special needs. I enjoy what I do because no day is the same, I have fun with what I do, and I believe in helping others to the best of my ability because they may not always be able to help themselves. *I have also worked with a little boy who is 3 with Autism.
