I have an abundance of experience working with families and children who have unique specialized needs. I have always had an extra special compassion for those that may be perceived as different, and cherish the opportunities to help those individuals recognize that they are unique and just as awesome as others. I have an abundance of experience working with families and children who have unique specialized needs. I have always had an extra special compassion for those that may be perceived as different, and cherish the opportunities to help those individuals recognize that they are unique and just as awesome as others. I have volunteered at a therapeutic riding stable, interacting with kids of all ages (and their parents) who have various levels of physical and psychosocial impairments.
I am extremely patient and dedicated, and love to use humor to help people feel better. I am a kid at heart, and understand what it feels like to be frustrated in dealing with differences. I too have sensory integration issues that I have had since birth and I feel blessed to be able to work with children who have similar personalities and needs. Kids have so much potential, but unfortunately, sometimes that potential is not understood by others. Helping to keep a positive outlook and giving hope is definitely something that I do not stray from. Overall, I am extremely passionate about working with families and their children to be a positive role model.
Please note, I am currently unable to care for children needing any type of mobility assistance.
