I have assisted with the elderly for 15 years and I love it. It makes me feel good knowing that I can help someone else out. I have worked in assisted living homes, Nursing homes, Alzheimer's patients and also private duty. I have a lot of training in this type of work. My job duties include to and from doctor's appointments, preparing meals assist with medications all daily activities. What ever the patient needs to make them happy. I love listening to the stories that they tell about there life when they were growing up it just makes me happy knowing that I can help them and be apart of there lives to. I also help out with cleaning, washing clothes, dusting etc.
I hired this person to care for my special needs son. She was very kind and attentive to my son and he really liked her. (4 stars) However, she was very unreliable, and I also had some other concerns about her that I will not express here. (2 stars) Obviously, she was not a caregiver match for us. Honesty and reliability are extremely important to me when it comes to caring for my most precious gift.
