I would like to help people with special needs. My experience is with my own parents, who are now deceased. My dad had cancer along with a stroke making him partially paralyzed on his left side. He walked with a cane and his left arm was in a sling all the time except at night in bed. He had a brace on his leg too that he needed help getting off and on. I helped with wheelchair transfer, chair to chair/bed transfer, wheelchair to car transfer, assisted with walking and getting around, food, bathing, doctor appointments, errands, groceries and household repairs. I did bookkeeping and bills. I listed 5 years of experience but I was not paid, it was just the right thing to do. I lived with my parents at the time.
