I am currently working for the Torrance Unified School district, as a para-educator. I have been here for three years. I work in a preschool setting, in a classroom of 15 children. I have experience working one-on-one, and also with large groups of children. My duties consist of potty training, assisting with meals, and helping the child grow mentally and physically, in a healthy and fun atmosphere. I was a nanny for 10 years, for one family with three children. In that position, I was responsible for everything from bathing, potty training, preparing meals, and housework. As the children grew, I assisted with homework, transportation to and from school, and other various activities.
