For nearly five years I have cared for children, teens and adults with care needs.

For four years I served as a PCA for a teen/early twenties female with neurological and physical disabilities (including an epilepsy and a cerebral palsy-like disorder). My client was non-verbal, non-ambulatory and I spent 8-40 hours a week with her. Her patience and her strength taught me a great deal and changed the way I look at the world and interact with people. While I was her care-taker, she taught me lessons in listening, perseverance and being slow to judge.

Here in Seattle I have worked with a 10 year old with Cerebral Palsy and an adult recovering from an auto-immune disorder. I love working with individuals with unique needs, as a learn a great deal from my time with them!
