I am experienced in the field of Early Childhood Education. I believe that the most important qualification of a teacher is a genuine and visible love for children. I provide a loving, nurturing and safe environment where I seek to educate the whole child. I provide age appropriate experiences for children ages 2 - 5 in preparation for kindergarten. I see that the social, emotional, cognitive, creative and physical selves are enhanced through hands on experience and play. I model and teach appropriate behavior. Children need to know what we expect from them before they follow our directions. I therefore use constructive and preventative methods of discipline and maintain an atmosphere of love, acceptance and order. I feel this helps children respect themselves, their peers and their teachers.
