At the age of 14, I volunteered in a day care center and met a 4-year-old boy with Autism. At that time, I had never heard of Autism and was very intrigued with him and his view of the world. As I got older and began figuring out what I wanted to do, when I went to college, I decided on Psychology and that I wanted to work with children and adults with special needs! I first became a Respite provider at 17 and went on to college where I worked full-time as a Behavioral Therapist and Achieved my degree in Psychology. I loved every minute of my job. I enjoyed seeing the joy on children's faces when they overcome obstacles and celebrated with parents. I also was there through the tough times and have been called one of the most patient, fun and loving people families have ever met. I truly enjoy children and adults with special needs and hope to continue my career being a positive person in their lives and their families lives!
