Hello my name is Janice and I have been working with children and adults with special needs for over 12 years. Through volunteer and paid positions I have developed the skills of organization, behavior management, behavioral redirection, Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention, scheduling, time management, house maintenance, effective communication skills, some sign language and many others. I have been certified in the following; New York State Office of Mental Health, New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene both received from Hunter College, Certificate of Adult Home: Creating a Culture of Transition, Approved Medication Administration Personnel (AMAP), Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP), Health and Safety in the Early Childhood Classroom, Infectious Disease Control in Child Care Program, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, etc.
