I have worked as a caregiver for special needs teenagers and adults for one year while in college in Louisiana and also since January 2011 in Jacksonville. I have worked with a teenager with cerebral palsy who required changing, feeding, putting down for naps, etc. I also taught 5th grade inclusion (regular ed and special needs students) for two years in Louisiana. I was responsible for adapting lessons and activities to meet the needs of all students whether intellectual, developmental, or physical. Tutoring at the Sylvan Learning Center in North Jax from September 2010- March 2011 was also very rewarding because I worked with children from ages five to 21. I tutored the younger students in letter and sound recognition as well as word recognition into comprehension.
