Eleaschia K. was not able to work with our Autistic child and in my opinion has never worked with kids with Autism. We left our kid with her for 2 hours - she did not interact with our kid at all during this time frame. She let him run around the house and did not keep up with him.
I know this from my 10 year old observing from time to time.

Also, when she saw that our child was a handful at the beginning before we left she made up a story that she could not watch our child for 4 hours as originally agreed to and said she could only watch him for two hours.
She got a grade F rating for her time watching our child - she even pushed him away from her when he cried - you cannot push away a kid with Autism - that is a NO NO.
She get's an F - she does not qualify for special needs - not even one star rating.

This is very interesting to me. When I talked to you to set up Friday 12/23/11, I was coming to meet your family & discuss the possibility of nanny'ing for your 6-year-old autistic child. However, I arrived (at 2 p.m. ) & within the first 10 minutes I was pushed into a closet door by him. Then I was told you were leaving for 4-5 hours (& also leaving your 10-year-old with me) which really caught me off guard...
Then I was told you were leaving for 4-5 hours (& also leaving your 10-year-old with me) which really caught me off guard as I wasn't expecting to start right then. I had prior arrangements to meet my mom for dinner at 5 p.m. , which I cancelled to sit your kids. That wasn't a "story" that I made up.
I've never worked with a child that is so out of control, hitting, pushing, ripping the shower door off, ect. I'm 24 years old, 5'1 & 95 pounds. I'm not sure how I'm supposed to control a child the size of me that is completely out of control.
As far as your 10-year-old son, I was completely shocked to see how he interacted with his brother.. kicking him SEVERAL times, hitting him, along with being verbally abusive to him. He physically threatened him and cursed at him. He was playing call of duty on his xbox almost the entire time, even to the point he took out the dvd that your 6-year-old was watching in his therapy chair so he could play his game. When the 6-year-old tipped over in his therapy chair I went to get him up & your 10-year-old replied "No, you don't pick him up. That's his punishment. My mom & I used to pick him up when he did that but we got too tired of having to do it all the time" When I asked the 10year old to take the dog out to go potty, he took her out on a very short walking leash and tied her to the grill and left her so he could get back to his video games. Your 10year old son was no help as you said he would be.
I was also very uncomfortable with the way you VERY aggressively handled your 6-year-old & then told me to do the same. I've worked with 2 other autistic children & neither were out of control or ever needed to be aggressively handled. As for you not thinking I've ever worked with an autistic child before, I would have been more then happy giving you the phone numbers of the parents to use as a reference or verify that I have.
I would also like to point out that we had agreed on $12/hour (watching the 6-year-old I was never told about having to also watch the 10-year-old until I got there), I was there from 2-5 p.m. & was only paid $30
I wish you luck on finding a nanny who can handle your 6-year-old child
