I have always had qualities that make me exceptionally suitable for a job in special needs care. I know first hand what it is like to have serious medical problems. When I was two I inherited a genetic disease known as linear scleroderma. It disfigured my right jawline and the left part of my forehead. It lingered on my face, disfiguring it as it grew, for 3 years as my family was unable to find the right help until we finally got it. The only problem was I had to wait until my face was fully grown (which turned out to be at 16 years of age) to have facial reconstructive surgery. When I was 9 I learned how to give myself injections for the scleroderma to better maintain the remission of the disease. At 15 a brain tumor was found through an MRI. Luckily it was determined benign after brain surgery. In November 2011, I had three consecutive seizures and lost consciousness twice. These experiences have transformed me into an overtly kind, caring, and loving person. I took a CNA course and made it through 2. 5 weeks of training until I was dismissed. At the time I was off my ADHD medicine. Now, I am on it. I learned several nursing skills in my CNA class.
