I am a paraprofessional who has worked with severely developmentally and physically disabled clients, of all ages. I perform all aspects of care. I am able to do goal work, feeding, including g.t. feeding or syringe, hygiene, positioning, interaction, recreation and compassion; these are all part of my day. I try to create a positive environment and provide a better quality of life for those less fortunate....
I am a paraprofessional who has worked with severely developmentally and physically disabled clients, of all ages. I perform all aspects of care. I am able to do goal work, feeding, including g.t. feeding or syringe, hygiene, positioning, interaction, recreation and compassion; these are all part of my day. I try to create a positive environment and provide a better quality of life for those less fortunate. I work with children from 3 to 22 years of age at the school, but was providing state funded in-home respite to those families who qualified. That program has been cut by the state of IL.

Families are responsible as household employers for complying with all applicable minimum wage laws, plus payroll, tax and other labor laws regarding employment of care providers.
