I just graduated college as an occupational therapy assistant. I have worked in a nursing home for three years, but I have a strong passion for working with children with special needs. I have three younger sisters and have worked with children since a young age. For 16 weeks, I had clinical experience floating between a variety of settings working with people of all ages. For 8 weeks, I was in an outpatient pediatric clinic planning and carrying out occupational therapy services for a variety of diagnoses including: Autism, Down syndrome, Cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, global developmental delay, Prader-Willi syndrome, severe prematurity, and more. I am enthusiastic and love working with children. I am looking for a part-time job working with a child or children in my time off from working as a COTA.
