I began volunteering at St. Francis Hospital in October of 2007. My floors consisted of general pediatrics and pediatric ICU. As a volunteer, I know that I am not doing much except sitting or playing with sick children, but I feel it kind of gives me the upper hand on some of the many illnesses children face. I have been wrapped up in finishing my spring semester of school so therefore, this past year I was only able to volunteer 24 hours however, this is my last full-year of pre-req's and then I plan to enter nursing school.
