Hello, my name is Brandy. I am 34 and live in South Arlington. I have 20+ years of child care experience starting from my early teenage years until present. My family owned a child care center for many years, and this is where my child care experience really started. I spent many of my afternoons and summers as a teaching assistant working with all ages of children in the center. I am the oldest of three, so naturally I helped in raising my two younger siblings as well. I spent a summer as a summer director in a Mansfield child care center, just a few years back. I left the center when my nephew was born to help with his care. For three years, I was a full-time substitute teacher in the Mansfield School District, before leaving to start my graphic design company. I have had a lot of experience with special needs children. As a teenager I was the regular baby sitter for a family with a special needs son. When working as a substitute teacher, I spent 50% of my time working in the special needs classrooms. I have a very flexible schedule in owning my own business, as my office is right in my home. Although I love what I do now, I really miss being around children, and that is why I decided to post my profile on this website. I am interested in finding something part time that allows me to help out a family in need of a dependable and reliable adult child care provider. My hope is to find a family that is looking for a sitter/nanny for after-school care and an evening out on the town.
