I am 19 years old. I have been a caregiver for 7 years and caring for special needs children for 4 years. One of my best friends in high school had Down Syndrome and I made it my goal to make sure that she was taken care of and never feel left out or like she couldn't do things. One of my room mates my first semester of college was autistic and another had Aspergers. One of my room mates in my second semester had ADHD. I have cared for autistic children, children with Hypotonia, Down Syndrome, ADHD, Aspergers, and many more. I love spending time with special needs children and I get so much out of it. I have excellent communication skills and I am very patient. I love to laugh and have fun. I am neat and organized. I help them to learn skills and values that they can use for the rest of their lives and make sure that they know there is nothing they can't do.
