I have had most of my experience with family members and friends. For example, my best friend all through school and still today has Aspergers, and I have become very educated in dealing with and caring for children with those needs. Also, another of my very good friends was diagnosed with diabetes when she was 3, and I have had to test her sugar and force feed her glucose, when the time came. We always had the correct foods for her at our home, and always made sure she was healthy.

Some of my other experiences comes from my current job as a day care teacher. I am in a classroom that mostly has children with special needs. I am very much experienced with children who are diagnosed with ADHD, ADD and autism/autism spectrum. I do not pass any judgment on anyone, especially when all they need is a little extra attention.

I have also baby-sat children with ADHD, and tutored them. I helped out with home work. I have often and still occasionally sit for a friend of the family's son, who has mild autism.
