I presently care for a 3-year-old boy with Cerebral Palsy, and many other complications. He is tube-fed, and needs intensive twice daily oral-motor therapy, wears AFO braces and has some mobility issues, and is the most loving, funny, high-energy little boy I've ever had the good fortune to work with! Working with him has not only been incredibly fulfilling, but educational as well. I accompany him to all of his therapy and educational appointments, and am active in continuing their efforts throughout the week.

When I first started working as a nanny, it was for a young girl with hearing problems and speech delays. Working with her really helped me to understand the complex problems that can be caused by difficulty communicating, especially in children who are just learning how to have their emotional needs met.

Also, my father is legally blind, and I have played a very active role in helping him learn to adjust to his loss of vision.
