They participated in all activities with the other children, including field trips around the community. I made sure they followed all the same rules and they did not receive any special treatment due to their needs. This made them feel more included, and their time spent with me was more enjoyable. Currently, I am a intern/teacher to a third-grade class with a 9-year-old ADHD child. In college, I took Students With Disabilities in General Education class, where I learned about each disability and how schools are involved.
