I have been caring for 20-month-old child with special needs 11 hours a day, five days a week for one year. I cared for this preemie who suffered from cerebral palsy, a brachial plexus injury, a stint as result of hydrocephalus and multiple brain bleeds, developmental delay, central auditory processing, visual delays, and limited mobility. I did the following: feedings, bottle and solid, administering medication orally and with bottles, preparing prescription formula, diaper changes, comforting to sleep, providing physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. I work with sign language. I keeping a journal of daily activities and developmental progress. I providing a safe environment with opportunities for growing, learning, and laughing.
