I was a member of Best Buddies Club for two years. My first year I was a the club publicist and my second year I was the club president. The club is a program designated to make the breach between mainstream high school kids and those with special needs. I went to many conventions and training's. I was able to see and learn how to interact and care for those with special needs. I, also was a regular baby sitter of a boy with down syndrome for roughly a year. I really gained a sense of fulfillment. Once again, I was an active member of the Best Buddies club and a babysitter. Through the club we did many activities, such as: lunch outings, Christmas caroling, a pumpkin patch outing, ice cream socials and two annual talent/ fashion show. Baby-sitting activities with the down syndrome child were: library visits, meals together, movie watching, coloring, long walks, playing basketball and so on. Special Olympics was something I, also went and supported. I, also participated in school sports and aided a few athletes with disabilities.
