I have spent my last seven summers working at a camp for children with special needs. I love every second of my summer job and look forward to it every year. My past roles at the camp include a cabin counselor, a lifeguard, and a supervisor for the campers who come back as adults and hold different jobs at the camp. Last year I spent every Sunday working with a boy who had autism. We went swimming almost every week and participated in many every day activities such as going out to eat, going to the playground, and going apple picking. I also grew up following around my mom who is an occupational therapist. Through those experiences I met many amazing people and became passionate about working with individuals who have special needs.
